It's been a vile day weather wise and going to the hairdresser was a pleasure. The lovely girl that cuts my hair has the same name as my daughter- I could be her mother - she's fantastic, I like her a lot.

Some things turn out better than expected!

Our school performance was amazing tonight, I took TG and we both loved it...but I was expecting good things!

However some tests came through surprisingly quickly and the result was MUCH better than expected! (Still awaiting others but this is a welcome sight)

Is it nearly Christmas?!

Back in November I bought Small Sprog a much wanted Gingerbread House kit. We bought all the sweets to decorate it with and everything was ready to roll for Christmas. However, come the festive season, he didn't really fancy constructing it so it has sat abandoned in the food cupboard ever since.

Today, when I arrived home after a manic day at work, he announced that he'd like to make it 'now'. Luckily I didn't need to do very much but I am still wondering why, on a Thursday in mid May, he should get the urge to feel Christmassy?!

Art coursework

It's that time of year again-lots of coursework deadlines and TG still working on preliminaries! Pretty preliminaries though...

Present

This amazing bag was made by a year 8 boy (90% his own work) that I have supported through thick and thin, since October last year. It's been a hard road for us both but we are nearly there. He made this in his DT lessons and the fact that he has chosen to surprise me with it, I feel, is massive. This represents my job satisfaction way above expectations. I feel grateful and honoured.
